Background
Abercrombie & Associates, LLC, is a professional company providing accounting, auditing and consulting services
to small businesses and nonprofit organizations, helping them develop financial infrastructure. Headquartered
in Silver Spring, MD, the firm’s clients are located throughout the Washington, DC, metropolitan area and beyond.
Established in May 2004, the firm is steadily establishing a niche in the market place by serving small to medium
sized organizations. In September 2008, the firm strategically entered the Information Technology (IT) market pursuing
contracts with local and state government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses.
Abercrombie & Associates, LLC has developed a wide range of accounting, tax and financial management services.
The company has recently expanded its services to offer IT management and consulting services including project management,
business process consulting, and documentation/technical writing. In today's business environment, the role of independent
consultant carries with it the responsibility of staying informed - of communicating - of advising. We emphasize this in all
areas of client service and understand our obligation to help our clients utilize their own resources to achieve financial and
project success.
A&A is a Licensed CPA Firm registered with the Maryland State Board of Accountancy.
Our staff is complemented by diverse, highly skilled, qualified and certified associates and consultants who possess specific
expertise to augment projects. Our firm is a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants (AICPA®), and we have a membership with the Project Management
Institute (PMI®).
A&A is a participant in the Maryland Small Business Reserve (SBR) program and currently pursuing Minority
Business Enterprise (MBE) certification. Our quality control standards are designed to ensure that our goal of providing the

About
the Principal
Tim
Abercrombie, a licensed CPA in the State of Maryland
has nineteen years of experience in the public and private accounting
fields. As a public accountant, Tim has provided a wide array
of services including auditing, small business consulting, tax
planning, tax preparation, review services and financial statement
compilation. In the private sector, Tim served as Chief Financial
Officer of a national nonprofit membership association headquartered
in Washington, DC. His range of responsibilities included oversight
of the day-to-day operations of the organization’s accounting,
administration, human resources, and information technology functions.
In addition, Tim was responsible for organizational budgeting,
investment monitoring, staffing of board committees and serving
on the senior management team of the organization.
Tim received
his Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1989 at the University
of Maryland at College Park. He is a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National
Association of Black Accountants, and the Maryland
Society of Accountants.

About
the Director of IT Services
Jackie
Abercrombie, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® has over 16 years of IT management,
systems integration, and software engineering experience. In the private sector, Jackie has served as Senior Manager
responsible for technical and process excellence. She is experienced in PMBOK®, SEI/CMMI®, and SDLC methodologies.
Jackie has consistently met performance level guidelines while she assembled, trained, and managed teams of systems engineers,
software designers, programmers, and technicians. She is noted for her excellent customer service.
Jackie consistently completes projects on time and within budget. Throughout her career, she has held several roles
including developer, process engineer, technical lead, systems engineer, project manager, and resource manager.
Jackie received a Masters of Science in Management in 1997 from Rennselear Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelors of Science
in Mathematics in 1993 from Mount Saint Mary’s University. She is a graduate of INROADS career development program and the
Lockheed Martin Information Systems Leadership Development Program. Jackie has participated in Lean Six Sigma Training programs,
and is a member of the Project Management Institute.
